LITURGICAL ASSISTANTS APRIL - Lector - Teresa Knepp; Cantor - Darryl Bowersox;  Altar Guild - Mary and Dave Kaufman; Greeter/Usher Dave Kaufman.

 
PARISH OFFICE  hours Mondays 8:00-12:00; Wednesdays 8:00-12:00 and Thursday 8:00-12:00. 

Cindy will not be in the office on Thursday, February 13. Office hours may vary due to things that may come up. 

 THE CHURCH due to increased activities around the church and surrounding area. The church will be locked at all times, except for Sundays and during office hours, which are listed above.  

OUR  PASTORS /LAY PERSONS for MARCH and APRIL - Mark Giesen is assigned to preside at Emmanuel .  He will preach every Sunday, except; March 23 - Bishop Craig Miller; March 30 - Pastor Kampa.

APRIL - Every Sunday except April 27, Pastor Kampa. Pastor Kampa will preside at the Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services. Mark Giesen will preside at Easter Sunday Service.

PASTOR PAUL KAMPA has agreed to take on being our Interim Pastor here at Emmanuel. He will be with us one Sunday a month. Pastor Kampa will visit shut-ins, and if they would like will give them Holy communion. If you would need to reach Pastor Kampa he maybe be reached at 1-570-966-3399.

CHOIR REHEARSAL has begun. Rehearsals are  Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm.  Coleen invites anyone who can sing to join in the choir, if you are interested in joining the choir please see Coleen so she is sure to have enough music ready for everyone.

​

COFFEE/COOKIE SOCIAL will be held the first Sunday of every month, following the worship service. There is a sign-up sheet in the Ramp entrance on the bulletin board. if you and your family are interested please pick a Sunday and sign-up to host. Please keep it simple. We would like to continue to provide this time to sit back relax and get to know each other. Next Social will be  Sunday - April 2 - Bowersox and Voss families hosting.

UPCOMING EVENTS - WELCM has once again continued with the Egg Project to support our Missionary. Mixers have been busy mixing on Sundays. Shapers meet Tuesday evenings, at 4:00pm, dippers and wrappers meet Wednesday mornings, beginning. We can always use volunteers to help with this project. Please order your eggs now papers are on refrigerator in kitchen. Eggs are 1.75 each or $20.00 a dozen. Last week for doing eggs will be the week of April 6th. Any questions please see Mary Kaufman or call the church office 570-837-6121.

The YARD SALE will be held on Friday and Saturday, May 2nd and 3rd. Please start to collect your unwanted items and place on stage in social hall.

​

MOTHER'S DAY  banquet will be held on Monday evening, May 12, 2025 at 6:00pm, cost will be $10.00. Sign-Up sheet will be on Ramp entrance bulletin board around March 23.

​

YOUTH ADULT FELLOWSHIP: If you consider yourself a young adult, you are invited to join in a time of conversation, study, and prayer every last Wednesday of the month. It's online! Contact jim@campmountluther.org for more information.

THE SYNOD'S YOUTH MINISTRY INITATIVE, led by youth from around the synod, kicked off with.  The first event was game night at Christ's Lutheran Church, Lewisburg. Other events scheduled for fall include:

             

March 28-30 - Grow Retreat

April - Service project treat

May 31 - School Year-End Celebration at Camp Mount Luther

SPRING is ARRIVING SLOWLY  with that in note it is once again time to order your Easter lilies or tulips both will be limited. Please place your order early so we ca get your dedication in the bulletin for Easter and so we know which you would prefer a Lily or a Tulip. Lilies will be $13.00 and Tulips $9.00. Orders are due by March 28. Please put your order with payment in the flower envelope provided. Place either in offering plate or Cindy's mail slot. Any questions you may call Cindy at the church 570-837-6121.

WE WILL ONCE AGAIN do Christmas Shoeboxes we thank everyone who helped last year with the project. It is a good service project for Emmanuel. Boxes will be placed on the stage for you to drop your donations in. March we will be collecting small Craft kit items. January was hats, gloves. February we will be collecting fashion accessories. boxes will remain on the stage until November.

 COMMUNION TO SHUT-IN MEMBERS - Some members of the congregation have received training to bring communion to shut-in members. This important ministry of hospitality and connection will help to bring the message of God's grace to those who can no longer attend worship. If you or someone you know would like to receive the sacrament of the Lord's Supper, please contact the church office so that you or they can be added to the schedule of visitations. However for the time being Visitations are being seen to by  Pastor Kampa. If you have anyone to add please let Cindy or Pastor Kampa know.
