PARISH OFFICE  hours Mondays 8:00-12:00; Wednesdays 8:00-12:00 and Thursday 8:00-12:00. 


 THE CHURCH due to increased activities around the church and surrounding area. The church will be locked at all times, except for Sundays and during office hours, which are listed above.  

OUR  PASTOR /LAY PERSON for December -

Mark Geisen 1st, 2nd and 3rd Sundays; Pastor Kampa 4th; Mark Geisen 5th Sunday. 

 

PASTOR PAUL KAMPA has agreed to take on being our Interim Pastor here at Emmanuel. He will be with us one Sunday a month. Pastor Kampa will visit shut-ins, and if they would like will give them Holy communion. If you would need to reach Pastor Kampa he maybe be reached at 1-570-966-3399.

WE NEED MEMBERS  to step and give of their time to their church and God. We need members to serve on church council for a 3-year term. We have quite a few council members whose terms will expire. Please let any council member know if you are interested in serving on council.

​

COFFEE/COOKIE SOCIAL will be held the first Sunday of every month, following the worship service. There is a sign-up sheet in the Ramp entrance on the bulletin board. if you and your family are interested please pick a Sunday and sign-up to host. Please keep it simple. We would like to continue to provide this time to sit back relax and get to know each other. Next Social will be next  Sunday November 30th, May and Dave Kaufman will host.

YOUTH ADULT FELLOWSHIP: If you consider yourself a young adult, you are invited to join in a time of conversation, study, and prayer every last Wednesday of the month. It's online! Contact jim@campmountluther.org for more information.

WELCM NEWS - Cookie Sale, will be held on Sunday December 14, following worship. Please start baking your cookies to share with others.

​

POINSETTIAS will again be placed in the church for the Christmas season. Orders may be placed anytime from now until Wednesday, December 17th. Cost is $10.00. You may place your order form and payments in the attached envelope found in the back pew. Place the envelope in the offering plate or Cindy's mailbox. Thank you

​

CHRISTMAS SHOEBOXES is completed for this year. We packed boxes on Wednesday evening November 12.  Thank you to everyone who helped in purchasing items giving monetary donations and helping in packing. We pack a total of 52 boxes. 

We will start again in January for the 2026 Shoeboxes.

​

COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSONS  please start preparing your annual reports for the Annual Congregational/Luncheon meeting to be held in January of 2026. 

​

JUST A REMINDER Ash Wednesday is early this year, Wednesday, February 18. Egg project will begin on Sunday February 22. We need all the help we can get to make this project a success.

 COMMUNION TO SHUT-IN MEMBERS - Some members of the congregation have received training to bring communion to shut-in members. This important ministry of hospitality and connection will help to bring the message of God's grace to those who can no longer attend worship. If you or someone you know would like to receive the sacrament of the Lord's Supper, please contact the church office so that you or they can be added to the schedule of visitations. However for the time being Visitations are being seen to by  Pastor Kampa. If you have anyone to add please let Cindy or Pastor Kampa know.
